Black is Gold?

Our eyes are developed to search and quench the thirst of viewing pleasure,to satisfy our fantasies,And the Colour is a basic fact of taste when it comes to fall in Love with Something (or some one). This what lead us to both good and bad,Creativity is born there,Diversity is fueled by it.And Nokia has picked this up perfectly as a strategic Marketing technique to keep up their sales, when a specific device starts to fall after it reaches to the peak. We’ve experienced this many times, especially in the N-series and occasionally in E-Series,we are seeing a Black variant popping up.

First they brought it up in the face of music edition with 3 devices being dressed in black,N70,N73 and the N91.Unfortunately for the 2nd edition s60 users,it was only the N70 got it as it was the last follower of that line up(there was N72 but it is almost the same as N70).That change was a success to Nokia’s new Chameleon tactics and the N73 ME was enthusiastically grabbed by so many Music Lovers who were bored by the Silver color version. But to me it was the N91 8GB which looked like a jewel with the New Black dress,Elegant and Glamorous, and it is the best design I’ve ever seen. But it wasn’t so, while it was in the cheap silver/Bronze housing. That is the point that Nokia has discovered, the point which steals the minds of users and fills it with eagerness.I’ve met many people who had exchanged their N73′s and N91 to the Black versions, and most of the time the driving force was not the memory or the Headset,it was purely the, unstoppable lust for Black.

The next milestone of Nokia’s “Blackening” came not with a “Just another Black” device but with some hardware and software changes too,And it was lot better than the namely Music Edition Branding. That was the evolution of N95 to the N95 8GB Black(Also now there is a Black version of the classic N95 available in some regions). The new black outfit is perfectly matching with its hardware tweaks, especially the Big screen and the scaled down top panel keys are going well with the Elegant blackish flow.So Nokia has again succeeded with the dressing trick, but this time its really worth shifting to the 8gig version instead of going to the Classic Silver,Because it has really gone through a Transformation, which was done according to the customer wish-lists.

The latest to join to the Black flow is Nokias Candybay powerhouse, the N82,Initially surfaced with the Stavros’ Artwork,And still going hot in most discussions. But this time they have gone back to the basic stage of transformation, even back from the ME branding, and offering nothing but just color change with Firmware upgrade, which not restricted only to the black variant. So its up to you to decide which color of N82 to go for,But I’m sure the Eagerness fact will overcome you Specification fact,as long as you are a been driven by your taste. So we’ll see more and more of this kind of work by Nokia,And a good indication of this continuing in the E-series is the rumored Black E71 again bringing(Hopefully) Both hardware and Software tweaks to the E61i.So what’s your flavor,Black is Gold?
