N82 : Camera-Light it up with Xenon flash
Here are some Images taken in pich-Black with the N82.See how they are perfectly lit with the Xenon flash,And in Some cases like in the photo of squirrel babies you will not believe that this was shot at dark.
Nokia’s competitive hardware innovation started with the arrival of N95,marked a new era in mobile photography with an amazing 5 Mega Pixel camera. It’s not all about the number of mega pixels that matters but the introduction of professional photography features like auto-focus(Though it is present in N73),Macro,and many other things made it a real starting point to a brand new stream of digital life.By the time there are few more devices added to Nokia’s 5 Mega Pixel line up like N95 8GB,N82 and the N96 having virtually the same specs, though they differ bit in style.Thats what I thought before I got my hands on the N82.But this candybar has some thing more than that, the Xenon flash. It adds up a totally new quality to the photos taken by N82 when compared to all the variants of N95 which has LED flash.
Actually it doesn’t make much difference in long distance photos like Landscape mode, where the light provided by the flash will never reach the target and illuminate, this is true for whatever camera. Therefore to compare the difference you must focus on close objects to see the real difference, especially in Portrait and Macro modes the effect of the Xenon flash is significant.
In my previous trial also I was amazed by the N95s Macro capabilities, the images were crystal clear and they are detailed like in professional camera. But there was one downside I noticed when I tried to take macro-photos in pitch black surroundings. The light from the LED was not enough to generate the photos as they are in real.So after getting my hands on N82 I took it out at night with a search light,in search of something special to shoot. Most of the time it was frogs out their ,So I tried to snap them with macro mode,How I did was, first I switched off the Search Light and position the target with the aid of the red light emitted from the flash before taking the picture and after that In complete darkness I photographed the objects. The results were unbelievable,Details are even more clearly defined than they are taken in daylight. The Xenon Flash is really powerful and it allows the camera to pick the colors very naturally when compared to those powered by the LED light. In this case I tried to go bit beyond the ordinary scope and try to capture the unseen Night time on to photo. This was very difficult as I’ve focused mainly on live subjects and I had to be very patient and careful when dealing with living beings.I think capturing nature with N-series is much more adventures than sticking on to still-life.
Amazing examples… the N82 is a true powerhouse!!
great article. i linked it up!

Led lights are great because they are long lasting and consumes less electricity.*’*
