I’m not having a good time with my mobile life these days, first had some disappointments after updating my N95 8GB, then the GPS and now its the PC suite/or OVI Suite.Couple of days ago I updated my PC suite to the Version7.0.7.0,after reading what folks say about it.Indeed it is an improved version in many fields, especially it is performing well in connectivity issues, with Bluetooth dongles which were present in previous versions and also offers improved UI.But one thing I hate about the new update is that the easy disconnect shortcut on the system tray floating menu has been removed in this version and now have to go through few steps for that, but still I can live with that.At the same day I installed the new OVI suite which has many of the PC suite functions included, and also introduced this new icon for sis/sisx files. After rebooting the PC and when I tried to install some applications,Boom it shuts down the Hard disk and stays like that for few seconds and reboots.First thought this was due to some virus or system failure but I couldn’t figure out what is the exact reason for this.Again I tried to install the same application by double clicking on it and same thing happened. Then only I realized that this has something to do with the new PC suite update or may be its the OVI suite introduced this rather annoying bug.I tried to install other applications and there was no change my PC keeps on rebooting whenever I double click on a .sisx file and this issue is killing me when I tried to install all the applications after I format my N95 8GB and now I’ve reached to a zero tolarance state,Why it happens to me all the time???????? As the last resort I tried installing the N-series PC suite but no sign of improvements yet.So my fellow bloggers and dear readers please gimme your feedback,is any one of you experiencing this,or can somebody tell is it the PC suite or the OVI suite that is responsible for this?
UPDATE : Finally got it solved,it was the new version of application installer which comes with the OVI suite, created all these troubles.Luckily it could be uninstalled separately and now everything is fine. Thanks Cj for the feedback.
