Being a Huge fan of SkyeStream SkyeQuiKey,I was reluctant even to give a try to its competitor the T9Nav Beta.But after reading so many blog posts written by my trusty fellow bloggers,finally I decided to give a try.After installing I realized that it wasn’t a bad idea at all.The overall experience is very impressive,but yet I haven’t come to conclusion on which one is the best among them,cos I was using SkyeQuiKey v1.01 and wasn’t aware of the update until Mike from The N82 Blog informed me about the v1.03.So a complete side by side comparison and a list of suggestions will be posted in another article,but I cannot wait to tell you all about a feature made me fond of the T9Nav Beta very much.
While using it I found that,apart from quick searching Contacts,Applications,Photos,Bookmarks and Other Files,it searches for Profiles and Themes too.This is a feature that I’ve never seen on any other app like SkyQuiKey and the Handy Shell’s Dial or Start,but indeed the thing I’ve needed mostly,especially the theme setting feature took my heart with a surprise.I’m sure many of you too find this a total surprise in case you haven’t come across it yet.Why this kind of feature made me feel so enthusiastically attracted towards this application is that it serves me the shortest shortcut by all the means.Normally to set a theme it requires some key presses and even after we launch the Themes application somehow,still we have to scroll up and down to search our desired theme,(Provided that you are an average theme user,probably you’ll have more than 20 atleast).So this isn’t a easy task unless you are using a theme scheduler or rarely change them.But with T9Nav Beta running you can directly locate the theme that you are looking by just pressing the first few letters of its name.And after you find it,just by selecting it you can set it on,simple as that.Same goes with the profiles but,normally you don’t have much to select in this case.So give a try and let me know if there are more surprises that can find.See the screenshots below,
