Theme : Notebook v1.0 testing

Last week I received the theme Notebook v1.0 by Sehaj, for alpha testing and thanks Dr.Anirudh for sending the theme. But I’m damn late on this, and really sorry about the delay. It’s good to see our fellow bloggers getting into the theme creation, and there is something special in this too, usually we see this trend from our fellow Italian bloggers, but this time its coming out from my Neighborhood India.Sehaj from The S60 Blog has come up with a different approach to theme making,by replicating a Notebook into a theme, and honestly the radical idea is amazingly enthusiastic. Its not the kind of themes we see everyday and this difference has made a huge change.Sketched icons are the real attraction to me,they are simply, very simple yet capable of creating a fresh impression. The theme consist only of 2 colour shades,Black text and penciled icons and just that nothing more. Also the theme has its own built-in ringtone, which I like very much, even more than the theme.

So here are some screenshots of the theme on my N95 8GB,and I found no stability issues with it at all.But there are few suggestions to be made,

1. The selection bar(Highlight selection),is not bright enough to distinguish between the background,So a bit darker shade would work fine.

2. Currently the theme only consist of default Nokia icon replacement, and there are no Icons for any 3rd party applications, hope we’ll see this fixed.

3. Even some default built-in Nokia application and Folder icons are not change, this has to be corrected immediately as any kind of colour icon would look really ugly in this two tone theme. here’s a list of them,

4. Secondary Menu Icons are not changed.

So these are the things I hope to see fixed in the next release and wish you luck Sehaj.
