Eseries gets firmware updates

nsusite-customIts raining updates for Nokia Eseries owners this week. If you are a Nokia E71, E66 or a E51 owner, its time you plugged your phone to the PC and fired up the Nokia Software Updater (NSU). These 3 Eseries phones have just been blessed with update love from Nokia.

The new firmware updates bring a lot of fixes to these 3 devices. The E71 goes up from V110.07.127 to V200.21.118. The E66 also moves up to V200. The E51 which is Nokia’s basic Eseries device also gets pushed to V300.34.56. The change-log for the E51 is not yet out, but the E66 and E71 have a similar change-log as reported by Symbian-Freak and is also not ‘hackable’.

So fire up the NSU and update your phone.

Note: The E51, E66, E71 do not support UDP i.e User Data Prevention which prevents any data from being deleted when you update your phone. So please back up your phone either using the PC Suite or by using the backup option on your phone. Symbian-Lifeblog is not responsible in the event you lose any data during the update process.

In order to see which version of the firmware you are currently using type the following code- *#0000# Your Eseries Phone will show you the firmware version.

In case you want to have a look at the change-log of the E71, scroll below.
