Both phones are very good, but i agree with you... i prefer having a cell+camera+mp3 than cell+videogame+mp3 because the quality of mp3 and camera of cellphones today is very good, but for gaming i don't change my PSP or Nintendo DS with a N85 :-)

Also, the N85 OLED is very interesting, but again, i prefer playing videos and games with my PSP than in my actual N95... I want to buy a N82 later :-)

There was a post on this blog with the explanation on how to test Nokia phones for free.

You've had to register on a nokia site (nokia pro, nokia forum or nokia developper or something..) and then you could test new phones like Nokia N96, Nokia N85 8Gb, ..

The phones were real, they run a program so they can be controlled by a distance.

I hope someone can help me find back the post or the site.
thanks! :)

Ravi, the first thing I always ask people is what do they want to do with their phone?
I think you should see what she uses her phone for? What else is she looking to do with it. The N82 is a great cameraphone, a fact that each one of us will agree to. The N85 is a gaming phone and there are build issues to it.

I think you should see what is it that she will like to use a phone for, and what all does she want to do and then go ahead with a purchase...

If you have already done that and are contemplating which one, I would suggest the N82. This is simply because in the regular course of life you are more likely to click photos than play games... and the N82 is still the one to beat in terms of camera performance, with xenon flash going strongly in favor of it. There aren't many issues in terms of build quality, only the keypad but I don't think it's going to be difficult to get used to it.

That's my opinion... Hope it is of use to you! :)

I would go (and I will :P) for an Nokia N85. It haves almost evertything from the N82 except the Xenon flash.

So, if you really need a Xenon flash, then is the N82 the best phone, otherwise the N85.

I like the dual slider form factor, it haves a bigger screen, Oled display, S60 FP2, and the phone is newer, so it will be more supported by nokia. ;)
