For calls and multimedia, a feature phone is more than perfect. Symbian and WinMo offer great flexibility for people who need to install there programs, or use office suites.

I just bought my Nokia 5800 (still waiting to arrive) because of:
- the memory card
- input possibilities
- i already own a Nokia 6288 (S40) so synchronizing contacts, notes, events will be easier.

I really hope symbian will be as great as windows (it's the first smartphone for me). I would normally prefer a windows solution for the 3rd party apps. I also hope I will be satisfied by garmin and not regret that iGO would not work for GPS.

I am confused to say which is better. In 5800 it runs in symbian, but in touch diamond it runs in Windows 6.1. As for as to me i think Nokia 5800 is well and good, because of the camera clarity, stereo sounds and user friendly.

That speaks a lot about the kind of phones Nokia makes... And I think it is a compliment. It's all about doing a lot of things while keeping it simple!

I've had the Diamond for six months - just ordered the Nokia 5800. I hope it's a betterphone, and I belive it will be. I belive the software will be more comfortable getting around and there is just no getting around the fact that the camera on the HTC Diamond is a very weak point. In general the Diamond has been a good experience, but TouchFlo isn't an entire OS. It is just a software package running on top of Windows. It is not a perfect solution and you do get in concact with the old - unfingerfriendly Windows to often. It seems like it is only half a phone. I hope the Nokia will prove to be a more complete solution
