For calls and multimedia, a feature phone is more than perfect. Symbian and WinMo offer great flexibility for people who need to install there programs, or use office suites.

I just bought my Nokia 5800 (still waiting to arrive) because of:
- the memory card
- input possibilities
- i already own a Nokia 6288 (S40) so synchronizing contacts, notes, events will be easier.

I really hope symbian will be as great as windows (it's the first smartphone for me). I would normally prefer a windows solution for the 3rd party apps. I also hope I will be satisfied by garmin and not regret that iGO would not work for GPS.

I am confused to say which is better. In 5800 it runs in symbian, but in touch diamond it runs in Windows 6.1. As for as to me i think Nokia 5800 is well and good, because of the camera clarity, stereo sounds and user friendly.

i have used both the mobiles, HTC DIAMOND is far superior both in design and technology.

Nokia's 5800 is for people who only know how to press the GREEN and RED button…PERIOD

I've had the Diamond for six months – just ordered the Nokia 5800. I hope it's a betterphone, and I belive it will be. I belive the software will be more comfortable getting around and there is just no getting around the fact that the camera on the HTC Diamond is a very weak point. In general the Diamond has been a good experience, but TouchFlo isn't an entire OS. It is just a software package running on top of Windows. It is not a perfect solution and you do get in concact with the old – unfingerfriendly Windows to often. It seems like it is only half a phone. I hope the Nokia will prove to be a more complete solution
