Very interesting post. Nokia N85 is the best mobile in its segment and much better in comparison to its rivals. Planning to buy it soon.

The lags in video recording on my phone were easily fixed with placing a Class 6 SD card instead of a Class 4 card which goes with the phone. It's the card read/write spead that was a bottleneck.

@anuyog

The phones you have stated are all good devices. I cannot choose a phone for you. Your needs from a phone are known to you, you must decide what all do you want your phone to do for you and then narrow your choice to a few, rather than just picking up what you see in the ads and what the dealer sells you.

Deciding which of the two is better is something that you must do, I cannot choose which is better for you. You must decide the parameters of what you consider good and evaluate accordingly.

From what you have said you seem very apprehensive about a touchscreen phone. Again your choice of a phone cannot be made by me. It's like asking a blind stranger which colour shoes you should wear...

I know nothing about you an hence I cannot guide you. I suggest you look up some reviews on sites like mine, www.adityasphones.wordpress.com, www.fonearena.com/blog, www.zomgitscj.com and www.gsmarena.com, etc. to make your choice.

I'm sorry to say that in my view, Nokia N85 is a piece of junk. I mean the way it is built. Features are really nice, side button for lock/unlock is awesome... but that part under the screen is really looking like it's going to peel off, the D-pad is a nightmare. When you press it down, the whole screen just slides a bit down with your finger (while keyboard exposed). This is frustrating so much that i gave up the phone in favor of E51, which is unbeliveably more robust and has a certain quality feel to it. N85 feels like a cheap toy in hand.
