Here are some pictures (below the post) of the unreleased (in India) 5530 XpressMusic device compared to the Nokia N82. I was fortunate enough to be able to play with the device for a little while and these are my thoughts, mind you this is not a review but just what I felt about the device.
The 5530 is a device that is clearly of the current generation of phones that Nokia is releasing, meaning they are compact and aren’t ‘light’, their weight is distributed in such a way, that one does not feel he/she is holding a toy. The case with the 5530 is no different, it wasn’t heavy, but it’s weight was distributed in such a manner that if you were to hold the device, it’s weight would act as an advantage. Don’t worry the device is not heavy. The device fits into the palm of one’s hand, it’s definitely smaller than the 5800, but I was amazed with it’s size. The 5530 is small but not so small that it becomes unusable. I actually liked the size of this device, it’s compact!
The screen is of very good clarity, and I was really impressed with it. The touch seemed greatly improved, and I was really surprised with the response, Nokia has improved the touch on this phone manifold. The phone was fast, felt faster than the N86 also and with the oodles of RAM being free, everything opened quickly.
Speakers on this phone were ok, not loud but at the same time they were not tinny or crackling. The sound was clear.
In my opinion, the 5530 will sell a lot when it is launched in India and with Samsung launching the S5233 ‘Star’ with WiFi, looks like Nokia’s newest baby has it’s work cut out!
