A friend returns!

I’m very happy to announce to you the return of my dear friend Ravindra, to blogging. For the last so many months he had virtually disappeared to Australia for further studies and was never heard from again (well not on a regular basis).

This got Mike (of N97fanatics and the N82 blog fame) and me worried, with regard  to his  and his wife’s safety. The same time there were racial outbursts in Australia that got us worried even more. In between, sporadically we would get emails from him saying he was safe. But he was not to be heard from otherwise. Finally a couple of months ago, Ravindra finally succeeded in getting time to be online like he used to be back in Sri Lanka. After some convincing, he finally returned to blogging about phones.

I am only too happy to know he’s back. Back when I was just starting out, I used to read his blog regularly as I found it different from the rest, not very ‘technical’ and at the same time well written. I must admit I even tried to emulate him and compete with him

Over time, he became a very good friend of mine. I’m sure most of you know that before I started writing on this website, Ravindra was the editor over here on Symbian-Life Blog. He then left to start another venture – Symbian Stories, a site which he used to write on until his brief sabbatical from the online world. Ravindra or Ravi as I call him, can be found writing on the same site today. While I am trying still to fill in his shoes here at Symbian-Life Blog.
