As per our determination to bring you the latest in Symbian technology , we will now be bringing to you the latest and greatest apps every week or so. These apps which will be selected after atleast having a proper usage hands on should be the ones that will make like easier and more fun for you. We shall be covering both free and paid apps however preference will of course be given to free apps. So now that a few of our plans for the future are clear , lets kick off this weeks applications !
1. Opera Mini and Opera Mobile
Opera is the name to be reckoned with in the arena of mobile browsers. For all practical purposes , Opera Mobile and Mini both are fantastic browsers and the latest betas take the features a notch up ! Including a new and improved speed-dial , Download Manager to bring it to desktop class. What seems to be missing however is support for plugins aka Flash. This is something which the internal browser has and so i find myself juggling between the two. Add Flash and Opera Mobile will be the browser of choice for most users especially since the RAM issues have been fixed on the device. Get it now at m.opera.com
2. Google Maps
Google Maps is the definitive solution for those times when you need a quick location check and need help to go to a new location without paying for turn by turn navigation. Whats better is the amount of features that Google has packed into this small application. With support for layers , lattitude , traffic data. G Maps is a godsend. The latest version 3.3 further improves experience by letting you synchronise your starred locations with your desktop ! Get it now from m.google.com/maps
3. SMS and MMS Diary
This app has to be one of my favorite symbian apps of all time. I’ve been using it for years now and am absolutely in love with it. This app not only provides an extremely nice threaded messaging experience , its highlight has to be the ability to create a diary of all the messages that you have sent and recieved .
