In a sad but not too surprising move , Nokia has announced that above 2000 workers will be cyclically laid-off at the Salo , Finland plant.

Nokia Salo

The news comes just a few months after the quarter results which showed declining sales for the mobile phone manufacturer. Cyclical lay-offs mean that the plant will always be running with 20% lesser employees and each employee will be laid off for 90 days.

Nokia’s comment : This is an essential move because our manufacturing capacity is not in line with the market demands.
