The very same day that Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab tablet computing device , it also let loose the news that it will not develop any Symbian based devices in the future. It announced that all future devices will be based on the Android platform or its indigenous Bada OS. Samsung made it clear that it can think of a future in Windows Mobile devices.
The manufacturer remains part of the Symbian foundation and may return to make devices on the Symbian^4 platform. Samsung stated that they saw no visible demand for a Symbian^3 device.
