I lost the opportunity to trial the N78 from WOM world at the last minute, but there is some luck come in search of me all the time.In the morning I got a call from a trusted person, who always give me the info about the latest devices, and said,”I’ve got something for you,so better come n fetch it“As I had asked for a N82 from him,not for me but for my uncle I thought that it was the N82.When I go there he gave me a box and said” hey you don’t get any devices now aren’t you?so here are some stuff give them back to me in couple of days“So just got the bag even without looking whats inside it I rushed to my place eagerly to see whats in it.When I unpacked there was a 6220 Classic box and inside it,three black beauties I found,N82 Black,N78,and 6220c all brand new and packed in polythene cases, but no box packing or covers, only the accessories for the 6220c were there.I was amazed and now in big trouble as I’m having an exam on this Saturday and I’m running out of time.So here I’m putting some photos and I’ll try my best to bring a brief overview at least, but only if I get time for that.

While I was going through the Nokia Conversations site,I came across this great tutorial by Guest blogger Kristian Luoma on Nokia beta labs. Its very clearly described over there on how to configure Nokia Chat service and worth have a look if you are interested. For the first time it wasn’t that easy to create your account and I had to try several times before I got through. So here is the tutorial and its not a big deal if you read carefully.
Most of us prefer using a PC keyboard over mobile device keyboard when we’re sitting next to our PCs while attending a blazing conversation. To make the most out of Nokia Chat while chatting – we now provide some simple instructions on how to configure your favourite IM client on PC to run on Nokia Chat.
Generally, the following instructions will apply to most XMPP-supporting IM clients, in case your favourite XMPP compatible IM client wasn’t featured in our guide:
1. Create Nokia Account in https://account.nokia.com/acct/register
2. Configure your account with the following details:
- Server Address: chat.ovi.com
- Server Port: 5223
- TLS: On
3. Log-in with your Nokia Account
Read more for how-to configure with different clients.
Note that in some cases, when you’re behind a firewall, you may need to configure proxy settings too. For instructions and details of how that can be done, please refer to the IM client’s web page for help on how-to and contact your local network administrator for network specific details.

Default Icons on Any Custom theme

Personally I’m fancied with custom icons on themes, rather than living with same old Nokia icons. That’s the reason for me to post more themes with special icon sets, like the ones made by Giambi,LucaP,Babi,P@sco,Flahorn and Acidsonic.I love them and always want to thank them for their hard artwork. But I also see that there are some people who love custom themes but not their icons as they do prefer to have default icons.(No wonder cos I have a friend of mine who owns an 5700 XpressMusic and surprisingly he is very satisfied with the default themes on it and says that non of the custom themes keep him going as the default ones,so we do come across a mixture of ideas in each case)True they are good but don’t please me in every day use.But unfortunately for them not all the top theme makers release a Default Icon Version(DIV) along with all their superb themes.
But no worries at all,as there is always a solution within the s60 platform itself.Dunno if everybody knows it or every 3rd edition device offers this option, but on my N95 8GB it has this option.Whenever you wish to see default icons on a custom theme that comes with custom icons all you have to do is go to Options>Icon animation>On while you are in the menu window.Which will instantly turn all your custom icons back into their default ones, but with a little pop-up animation when you select them(the animation works only for pre-installed stuff, though). Also you might notice some slight difference between the animated ones and the original default icons in the edges, they might have this pixellated effect around the edges, and also bit smaller than the original ones,if you take a closer look at it.I think that this happens because the animated icons are in some other format. But at least you have the icon set as you wish.So try this and let me know, whether this is possible on other devices too.
